Furukawa Art Museum Workshop: “To a World Yet to Be Seen” – Call for Artwork Submissions

[Workshop Details]
1.Choose one or more of the selected artworks from the Furukawa Art Museum’s collection (see list below). Imagine the world inside the painting.
2.Cut out your chosen images in any shape you like.
3.Paste them onto a sheet of drawing paper (11″x14″ or 9″x12″), and then add your own drawings in the empty spaces.
4.Mail your completed artwork to the Furukawa Art Museum in Japan. Your work will be displayed alongside artwork created by children in Japan in the museum’s 3rd floor gallery.
[Eligibility]
Children ages 6–11 who live in or attend school in Greater Los Angeles Area as of January 2026.
[Submission Deadline]
November 20, 2025 (postmarked by this date) *Exhibits will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If more than 20 works are submitted, those received after the first 20 (up to a total of 50) will be displayed in the corridor.
[Mailing Instructions]
1.Participants are responsible for shipping costs.
2.Please attach a separate sheet to the back of your artwork with your name (nickname is fine) and a comment about your piece (50 words in English, or 100 letters in Japanese). The content of the comment is entirely up to you. * You may use the provided form (Form 1).
3.You may fold your artwork for mailing. (If you prefer not to fold it, that is fine as well.)
4.Mail your work to:

*You can use the provided mailing label (Form 2) to your package. Please cut out and attach the shipping label.
5.Submitted works will not be returned.
6.Copyright of submitted works will belong to the Furukawa Art Museum.
